Buckingham Palace in October - Please Assist

My family and I are going to be in London from10/6/2012 to 10/9/2012. I checked on tickets to Buckingham Palace for one of those dates on Friday. It seemed that there were plenty of open days. So, I waited until today to buy the tickets only to learn that they are sold out. Does anyone know if one of the tour operators hold tickets for purchase even after the Palace is sold-out?

If we can't go to the Palace, does anyone have suggestions for a similar type of experience?. I've already planned on the Tower of London tour, a hop on/hop off tour, London Eye/River Thames tour and finally, the Phantom of the Opera.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Liljill9

I would check out the HOUSEHOLD CAVALRY MUSEUM, HORSE GUARDS in Whitehall right near the Palace.

Open every day. Good luck. You will love London…

Windsor Castle tour is probably the closest to a tour of Buck House. It is only a short day trip from London.

Li, forgot to mention the Royal Mews where the state vehicles and ceremonial carriages are kept - including, I believe, the one used at "the wedding."
