Buckingham Palace

Can anyone tell me if it's necessary to purchase tickets in advance to tour Buckingham Palace?? I'll be there in early September. Thanks for your help!

I've just returned from a trip which included pre-purchased tickets to the Palace. There were people purchasing tickets for that day, but they had a wait of a couple hours before their time.

The Palace is absolutely stunning and is not to be missed! If I were you, I'd buy ahead of time just to be sure you don't spend valuable vacation time waiting around or taking the chance of not even getting in.

Happy travels!

I just returned from London and I had pre-purchased my tickets for Buckingham Palace. I hesitated to do this, hating to be locked into a certain day and time, but when it was all over, I was so glad I did. The Palace was definitely one of the highlights of our trip---much more magnificent that I had ever imagined. Don't miss it, and I would suggest that you purchase them in advance like we did.
