BTilke - you wanted snow?

Can't find that post where you were envying our snow -- but we are tired of it now and would be happy to send some your way! http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/tt/3165b/
You can see how pretty it is, just don't think about it being 18F and sleeting, too
:-( Think I'll pull up some threads on the Canary Islands, or Capri, or the Greek Islands....even the famous "Beltway" around DC is pretty much shut down today! We'll be doing our traveling solely on the web today
Here in the 'Burgh, also; we got about 18 inches yesterday and through the night! By sheer luck I had planned to take a vacation day to get some things done around the house--and what am I doing on Fodors?!
Oh to be back in the South today:(

We have over a foot in our garden and much more to come. Drifts are piling high at our door.
See ya'll in the spring.

To uhoh_busted: I enjoyed looking at your pictures of snow. I grew up in Maryland, and do miss it now and then living in Texas. On the other hand, I have plans to play tennis outside later today with my son. (It's in the 60's here today.)
AGAIN, a plea for snow. Spring is fast approaching and the skiing has been terrible this year here in NW Montana.
Brown lawn is ugly, temp is 41 degrees.
Send SNOW!!!

John, would you like some sleet and ice? Cold and miserable in NC, but at least we didn't lose power with this storm. I hate this weather and thinking of where I can move to that doesn't get any snow (Bali, Hawaii, etc.)

My thoughts are with those of you with big amounts of snow.

BTilke Feb 17th, 2003 10:41 AM

Yes, I would still love to have that snow!! The problem is these big snow storms usually come from the south and the weather usually warms up pretty soon afterwards...it doesn't stick around. I think it's supposed to go up to near 50 in Philly by the end of the week--lots of slushy mesh on tap for the next few days.
Anyway, I enjoy seeing the pictures of the snow on the news...
