Brussels train station question

Using the German Rail Website, I find that going from London to Brugges (via Brussels) using Eurostar and then an IC train, I arrive in Brussels at Brussels MIDI then must depart from Brussels MIDI EST to catch the Brugges train. Are these two different stations? The German site lists this as an eleven minute walk. Any advice?

Thank you,

Tim Stark

Yes those are two different train stations. I believe there is public transportation between the two as well.

The Thalys TGV leaves from Brussels Midi and goes directly to brugges on a limited schedule.

Monday - Friday and Sunday it leaves Brussels Midi at 7:20 pm and arrives in Brugges at 8:24 pm.

Sat departs at 9:31 am arrives 10:24 am.

In addition on Sunday it departs at 1:31pm arrives 2:24.

This new answer is different from the answer I got when I asked the same question a couple of months ago. I was assured that Brussels Midi and Midi Est are really the same station, but the Est is really a few platforms added for the Eurostar trains. I was told that it only takes a couple of minutes to walk from one to the other, but no one was sure if there were escalators or just stairs.

Patrick,

I believe there are at least two and possibly three Brussels train stations.

Thank you all for the information! I still simply need to know the difference between Brussels MIDI and Brussels MIDI EST. Thanks in advance for any help.
Tim

Timothy:
Midi ("South") and Midi Eurostar (EST meaning Eurostar, not "East") are basically the same.
The platforms may be a 10 min walk apart, but it's like going from one gate to another one at an airport.

Phil (and others),
Thank you very much for resolving a very small question!

Oppps sorry about that. I thought the stations were Midi, est, and central. Looks like they are Midi, Nord and central. Have a nice trip!
