Brussels airport vs Heathrow
We have the option of returning home from Copehagen in June via Heathrow or Brussels. Last summer we were on route through Heathrow--and it was a nightmare to make the connection. Is Brussels any less frenetic?

Airside connections at BRU are (IMO) infinitely easier than at LHR.
|
I agree with Gardyloo; I've done both (LHR more often than I would have liked) and BRU is infinitely easier and less stressful.

Thank you. Brussels it is!

Not only us BRU a less hectic airport, but they sell those great Belgian chocolates!! :-D
|
Most definitely Brussels!

Just make sure you give yourself enough time in the Brussels airport.
While definitely smaller than Heathrow, we almost missed our flight to Rome in March because we flew into the end of one of the terminals and out of the end of the other terminal and our flight was about half an hour late on an already short 55 minute layover. We ran like crazy, and the only reason we made the flight is because they delayed the flight by a few extra minutes because there were about 30 others on our flight from Chicago that were also going to Rome. The distance between the two terminals, depending on which gate you arrive and leave out of can be quite a distance, especially when you take the security lines into account. As always just make sure you have adequate time to make the transfer. Tracy |
Thanks, Tracy--good advice. We would have about 2 hours between flights. We faced a similar situation to yours at Heathrow last summer. 20 of us from a connecting flight were bused from one terminal to another and escorted to the head of the security line (which made other people absolutely furious--and rightly so). Quite an experience--
