Brussels Airlines

Just to let you know

Brussels Airlines (was Sabena, then SN Brussels, then merged with Virgin) has some really good deals at present. I flew last weekend to Vienna for 60 euros return.

They are not the kind of Ryan air low cost - they are low cost if you book well in advance or you get a special deal - but they have fairly generous luggage allowances and regular seating. (ie not free seating).

True Lawchick, but only 6 kilos of handluggage allowed; and they weigh it!
I find that since they merged with Virgin, their regular prices have gone up (apart from these special offers, which are very good deals).
The internet check-in is handy.

20 kilos of checked luggage.

I brought 3 carry on bags last weekend, as did my husband as we had to bring some stuff to Austria, and they didn't weight anything.

Maybe they only weigh the hand luggage! They let me on with slightly over 6 kilos, but others had to check theirs.

I've also had to check mine, slightly over 6 kilos but this was also the case when they were still SN Brussels Airlines!
