Brussels

Hi, I am planning a 2-day trip to Brussels...Does anyone know of any budget hotels in the area? What do suggest that I see and do? Thanks.

What is your budget? How much can you afford to spend? On most week-ends, it's not difficult to find 4-star hotels in the 100€ price range...is that too much?
And what are your interests?

100 Euros is is a bit much..Our budget would be 80-90 Euros or less if possible. We enjoy museums, chocolate, music basically anything with the arts. Thanks for your help.

When are you going? Weekends and summertime I would not make a reservation. Just go to the tourist information office 3 blocks from Central Station and tell them what you want. There are many, many unfilled rooms at business class hotels on weekends and during summer in Brussels. The tourist office will book a room for you within a few blocks of the Grand Palace at a third of the normal rate. During this time, the business class hotels are cheaper than most budget places which genereally do not give summer/weekend discounts.

We stayed at the 3* Novotel Brussels off Grand'Place for less then 50 EUR.

You might try the Ibis hotels and Hotel Welcome..

(the rates I gave are for doubles)

I've stayed at the Ibis in the centre of Brussels. It is ideally located and is a two minute stroll from the old town square, bars and restaurants. The cathedral is two minutes in the other direction. There is an underground car park as well, which was great as it snowed when we were there and the car was not buried... The hotel was basic (all Ibis are) but clean and comfortable.
