Most Cafes & Restaurants won't be open for serving food until 11:30 or 12:00

From Opera, go north toward Plaza de Oriente: across the street there's a movie theatre. Adjacent to the movie there's a Cafeteria. We have stopped there for coffee & pastries. It should be good for Brunch.

If it's a little later, or if you want something more substantial, walk east from Opera (up the hill). You'll find several restaurants within a couple of blocks.
