Bruggge Lodging

We are traveling to Brugge in September for three days after hiking in the Dolomites for 6 :). We would like a really nice place and are trying to decide between The Pand and the Relais Burondisch Cruyce. As always, we value the advise from this forum. Thanks in advance for any help.

The Hotel Adornes is very nice.

Hm, if I see this video http://www.pandhotel.com/videoe.htm I know the answer :-)

the Pand does indeed look wonderful, but how is the location? In fodors, the comment about the Relais is that it is in the most romantic part of Brugge - but does the canal ever smell stale? I'll check out the Adornes.

Have not stayed in either of those hotels, but I didn't notice any smell from the canal anywhere.

we liked the bryghia and have stayed there twice. you can get a nice canal view room, breakfast is good, good price and excellent location with FREE off street parking.

If I check both locations I see Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce and the Pandhotel are a footstep away from each other.

I know Pandreitje is a nice place connecting that nice corner at the canal and a park. Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce is of course more in the spot, with all the people around.
I should not take a room at the canal because you have the boats coming by every 2 minutes, from morning till evening, with the guide telling his story...

I'll vote for the Adornes.

We just got back from 3 nights at de Triptiek B&B and would highly recommend it.
www.triptiek.be

Wonderful rooms, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Prompt replies to emails and queries. It's about 10-15 min walk from the train station and 5 mins walk to the main square in the centre of Brugge so well located. We would stay there again.

thanks--but the triptiek is full--back to our original querry but now want to additionally ask if anyone has stayed at Martin's Orangerie or still The Pand is in the mix.

Stayed at The Pand- Wonderful.. Also years ago at Adornes. Pand is slightly better located- Brugge is just lovely. Enjoy

We are just about to book The Pand but still undecided about this or Marin's Orangerie. Has anyone stayed there?

Taaner Aug 20th, 2009 09:22 AM

I dont know about the hotel itself, but heard people complaining about all the tourist boats along the terrace. What I can understand, it is a come-and-going of people over there!
