Brugge photo on Bing
One hellofa photo of Brugge on Bing today at http://tinyurl.com/n5b8fqz.

I am just not a fan of over Photoshopped pictures.
x2!
Neither am I.
Or I
Looks extremely artificial and does not have much in common with reality.
I've never been to Brugge, but the picture looks quite pretty to me.
Google maps does a more realistic job!

Photoshopped or not, it's a beautiful photograph.

Here is a shot I took this May in Brugge, cropped not shopped. There are sufficient interesting shots without resorting to photoshopping.

Not an HDR fan, either...although I admit, the place looks beautiful.
Lovely photo, I was there there a few months ago.
Thank you. It is a beautiful town, ruined by people like us-tourists. We stayed two night and after the tour buses leave, it is quite spectacular. It is remarkable that Brugge has withstood the wars fought on Belgium soil and it has a museum quality including gift shops on the way out. If you do to go also visit Gent which is like Brugge with a lived-in feel.

Photo number one! LOL Is that really Sue Townsend?
Remember, before turning your nose up too severely at photo enhancment, there was the "darkroom" before Photoshop existed.
Ansel Adams would spend hours in the darkroom getting his "natural" photos perfected. http://whitherthebook.wordpress.com/...ore-photoshop/ |
Yes and Sally Mann was worse but they were experts in their field with a purpose and elevated aesthetic. These are distortions with artificial colors. They are exercises in what a computer can do rather than what a camera and a photographer can do. I'm just old school.
That is Bruges only in someone's dreams - or nightmares.
