We are still travelling and updating the blog. We're currently enjoying a fantastic small farm just ouside of Brugge Belgium. Please see my blog for pictures and report.
Happy travels!

Nice photos indeed, including cows and food close ups and two sweet little girls! What a treat to be with family in a rural location near Brugge. I see you did climb up in the tower overlooking the square. Enjoy!

Thank you Bill! We are having a nice relaxing time. DH is off in Brugge now on his own. I'll get my turn tomorrow. We've had our kids on the road in Europe for over 5 weeks and they have had it with sight-seeing. I guess I can't blame them. I'm hoping we'll be off to Gent tomorrow for dinner.

thanks for keeping us updated. I remember when you were picking up the car. I enjoyed the first part of your trip and thought you must have run out of time to finish. Thanks!

Normandy is indeed a great place. I loved it there and I had a great time during my vacation. And it's nice to know and read everything that you shared here.

Thank you! We are making some great memories indeed. We won't be able to take a trip of this extent for a very long time.

Wow, loved the pictures. Were you aware your picture of the racers from the Tour de France included the eventual winner?

In your first picture, the second rider in the BMC jersey is Cadel Evans, the eventual winner!

Thanks apersuader65 for pointing that out! At a closer look, George Hincapie (in his 16th Tour) is in the photo too. We took so many pictures and will have to study them more closely when we get home.

AndiM the farm stay looks wonderful! Do you have an internet address for where you stayed? Hope to go to Brugges and Nornmandy in the near future.

Here's the link to the place in Brugge:
http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/Bel...m?uni_id=70171

It's listed under other websites as well if you google "Blue Grape Cottage Bruges". The owner also has Green Apple Cottage which is adjacent and a bit larger.

I can't recommend the place we stayed in Normandy. It was too far away from all the main sights and it just wasn't as nice as the place near Brugge. Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have other questions.
