Bruge to Brussels Airport
 

Greetings: Staying in Bruge but have a 10:20AM flight home to NY from Brussels. How can I get from Bruge to the Brussels airport---or should I stay in Brussels the night before the flight? Thanks so much!

If you're willing to get up early, you can make it easily...catch the 6:02 train from Bruges, gets you to the airport by 7:30 am, plenty of time (you can catch a train from Bruges half an hour later, but I'd go for the 6:02 just in case there are delays).
However, if you're the nervous type or there are train strikes on the horizon, then stay either in central Brussels or out by the airport.

FYI, the train from Bruges to the airport requires a change in Brussels, at either Midi, Centrale, or Nord. We prefer changing in Midi/Zuid, the first of the Brussels stations you'll come into from Bruges.

According to www.bahn.de, the first train from Brugge to Brussels is at 0457, then they're roughly every half hour. It's up to you how early you want to get up.
