Bruge Restaurants?
 

Can anyone suggest a good restaurant in Bruge? There are so many on the website. My husband and I and the two people traveling with us will eat almost anything. Would prefer a restaurant that won't break the bank but if it's on the more expensive side, that's ok too. We'll be there in mid September. Thanks.

De Gilde - oude Burg 17. This was an exciting, accidental find. It may only be open for lunch. Our experience was great. Great price and great food. Not a lot of atmosphere, but filled with locals. This was one of those pleasant surprises: It cost less than a lot of places we ate at, but was superior in quality.

We also lunched at the Brewery, which is a very nice space (though there was some sewage smell).

Our dinners were less impressive: Het Mozarthuys near the fish market was ok food, but probably not worth the price. On St. Pats, we ate dinner at the Irish pub near the market and Crown Plaza. My SO order hamburger that may have been actual ham? and was ill the next day.

We had a great meal in a nice atmosphere. It's away from the center a bit--we stumbled on it returning to our B&B from the Folklore Museum. A variety of menu choices, but their specialty is various meats cooked over an open fire in one corner of the dining room. We were there a bit earlier than a "normal" dining hour, and there were two tables with locals--one table playing cards and drinking beers, the other playing dominos and drinking beers.

Yes, the brewery food was good, as was the beer. We missed the tour.
