Bronte Guest House, York

Has anyone stayed at this B&B? The only one I could find suggested on this forum was The Four SEasons and they do not have anything available. Any other suggestions before I commit?

There are may B&B's listed on
www.smoothhound.co.uk. Also go to www.tripadvisor.com and do a search on York and you will find many reviews on hotels & B&B's.

Hope this helps.

HI Sbenz,

I stayed there last summer and enjoyed it very much. It's about a five minute walk to Bootham Bar. I would stay there again. Please let me know if you have any specific questions.

Hi Patti,
Thanks for the response. I feel more comfortable with it now that I know. It looked fine on their web site but you never know... Any must sees or don't bother's you would like to pass along would be great. We only have 2 days in York before we proceed to London and want to make the most of our time without turning it into a forced march.

Thanks again

HI Sbenz,

I posted a report about my trip. Here it is:

Don't miss the Minster and the Yorkshire Museum and try to make time just to wander the narrow streets.

Have fun!

I would not stress out about a B & B in York, the streets are literally lined with them going off from the centre in all directions.
I found one just by walking round and door knocking, it was in the middle of the season but there are so many.
