Brittany

I’m reading the Inspector Dupin books by Jean-Luc Bannalec and now am fascinated by Brittany and especially the Îles de Glénan. What tips does anyone have for visiting? Thanks!

You might be interested in this book, although it won't help in terms of modern tourism:

You may like Bréhat as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve just ordered it from my library!

Attached is my Brittany & Normandy itinerary. With info about Brehat. Also 3 of my wife's Shutterfly books about our recent trips there - and Normandy also.

Stu, I can't thank you enough for all of this information. It is so so helpful while I am planning a trip to Normandy and Brittany for, hopefully, mid-May. You have clearly spent a lot of time on this and I thank you so much for sharing it.

Glad it provided some help with your planning.

Those Bannelec books read like something from the Brittany tourist board. I enjoy them but all the spiel about Brittany gets on my nerves.
I love Brittany, one of my favourite areas of France. If you go do spend time inland, not just along the coasts. It is full of amazing places and steeped in Arthurian legend. If you go in summer it will be very busy.
The weather can be very variable too. Pack a raincoat.
