British War Cemetery Pas de Calais
 

Does anyone know anything about the British War Cemetery? I will be in England in October and would like to visit but have no idea how one would get there, the time required, etc.

There are all sorts of British cemeteries in Pas de Calais. It is a Department (a state) -- not a single place. You'd have to get to France (most likely by Eurostar) and then depending on WHICH cemetery(s) you want to visit, either trains or a rental car or a private guide.

But first you need to determine which cemetery(s) you are looking for.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission does a laudable job of organizing and caring for the graves of war dead from WW1 and WW2. You can search for the locations in Pas de Calais, both big and small"

There are literally hundreds, although some are tiny. You could probably get close to one or two of the larger ones by train. Depending on your time and your interest in the battlefields, you might consider taking the Dover-Calais ferry and renting a car

Thank you, everyone, for your prompt responses. I have a great uncle buried there from WWI. He was in the 48th Highlanders of Canada. To my knowledge, no one from our family has ever visited. I have the grave number and will check which cemetery.
