I agree-thanks Christina. I'm still curious about flight 67-was it cancelled on 3/22?? We are doing some 20/20 hindsight in our household.

Please could you go some way to changing my view of your organisation.

We flew with BA for the first time in February and did not have a good experience. Our overall impression was of an ex-nationalised company, whose employees still regarded themselves as government employees exempt from the market pressures of the recession. The term "management's decision" seemed to appear far too many times.

We view the strike as a simple political battle between a modernising management and an entrenched union. Is there more to it?

On the streets there are an awful lot of people (and anecdotes from the many agents I know) who are refusing to use BA in future, based on the fear of being let down and disagreeing with the union's stance. The strike didn't seem the best place course of action with overall passenger numbers being sharply down in the industry.

Is BA going to get away with cancelling the strikers' travel privileges PERMANENTLY (as I read on CNN)?

Really sorry to hear about your experience.

Also, I appreciate there's a lot of consumer interest in the political aspects of this industrial action. My goal here isn't to comment on those aspects of the strike, just to try and help concerned travellers by flagging up the latest information from BA.

Well -- our flight is cancelled. Super bummer. But, the people answering the phones (once you can get through) have been extremely helpful. We rebooked for the following day. We're staying with family so this isn't a huge inconvenience.

It's frustrating of course, but given how well we've been treated I don't think this would stop up from using BA again.

More of a question then a reply. Does anyone know once BA is done this next round of stike action (4days) can they go on stike again or do they need another vote?

Coleman1: Unite has promised publicly that if these two rounds of strikes don't bring the desired resolution to their dispute with BA, more strikes will follow until resolution is achieved. However, all these industrial actions following current strike will have to be decided by the vote again to receive a mandate. Current ballot is only valid fo the strike occuring last and this weekends
