Forget The Savoy (£1,250), the Mandarin Oriental (£5,287) and Claridge’s (£4,548). This is now the place to stay in London for the mega rich."

I'm guessing you can't get this place on Priceline. ;)

I don't know if anyone watched The Travel Channel late last night, but there was an excellent program on the Orient Express.

It was a 21 day ride aboard the luxurious Orient Exprress. The train traveled through seven nations, stopping through major cities such as Zurich, Paris, and London. The couple who spent $21,000 per person on this dream trip, toured Great Britian's most expensive hotel. If anyone were to stay there, the cost would be $22,000 USD per night. I am sorry to say that I forgot the name of the hotel. I checked out the Travel Channels website, but there is no mention of the hotel. I'll keep searching and hopefully will find it.

Just got back from my stay at the Infinity Suite. I've seen nicer!

I was told that the rate for the Lanesborough's Suite included use of the hotel's Bentley and two Butlers!

One of the reasons I provided the website was so you could check exactly what was offered.

According to the article, adamhornets, the vehicle was an Audi A8 six litre W12 Quattro.

I hate the Langham, its position is too Oxford St., the lobby is dull, it used to be an Hilton, I don't rate it, I read the article this weekend, and laughed. Only nouveaus would stay there.

The Langham will be remodeling its entire hotel in either 2005 or 2006. They can't decide if they want to stay open during remodeling or completely shut down during the work. My husband's great grandfather was the head chef there in the early 1900's and we got a wonderful tour of the hotel over the Christmas holiday. It is dated; the new owners know that and are working on the plans.

I have no idea why they're wasting their money on that pile, the position is dreadful.

Claridge's, The Connaught, and The Savoy are all undergoing refurbishments shortly, the best will get better.
