Bridgestreet apartments in london
 

traveling w/ two kids and thought we would look at apartments brigestreet have four I am interest in, notting hill, princes square, richmond court, kensington sq., while they look great online, cannot find any real reviews, anyone have any info/reviews, advice, etc... thanks

I do not know the agency at all - which doesn't mean anything one way or the other.

But of those 4 locations -- Richmond Ct and Kensington Sq are terrific. Richmond Court is directly behind Knightsbridge tube station and less than a block from Hyde Park. Kensington Square is near High Street Kensington tube and a short walk from Kensington Garden/Palace.

I personally wouldn't stay in Prince's Sq and "Notting Hill" covers a lot of territory some fine and some not so much, so we'd need to know the actual street.

for some reason notting hill also says princes square?

Richmond Court is literally 2 doors down from Harvey Nicks, though you'll need to cross a busy-ish street to get to the park. I must confess that this was my very first flat in London (albeit only for 4 weeks) as my then-employer put me up here when I first got here years ago. It is a full-service apartment, good kitchen (I cooked solid meals), living room is decent size, but with one bathroom. I think there was a communal washer/drier was on the top floor. I didn't find the building noisy. You didn't mention when you're coming but I don't recall they had A/C, so I might re-consider if you're coming in the middle of summer.

Princes Sq is W2, NOT Kensington but close to Bayswater so more of a backpacker/cheap hotel central. It is not a bad area (lots of cheap restaurants etc) but certainly lacks what you might expect as a quintessential London charm.

To get a better sense for actual location, it's helpfl if you can either get a street name or a full postal code.

We stayed at a hostel on Princes Square in May. The area is fine; you're within fairly easy walking distance of the Queensway and Bayswater tube stations. If you've seen the newest Harry Potter movie, the area where the Order of the Phoenix headquarters is reminded me of Princes Square.

You'd be a little closer to tourist attractions, though, at the two locations janisj recommends.

lisa357: We know all the locations (BTW - W2, SW1 etc. are just a part of the postal code. They cover very wide areas. I doubt the agency gives out the full postal code for the property, or maybe after you have a contract). There's nothing "wrong" w/ Prince's Sq or Notting Hill. It is just that Richmond Court is MUCH better and Kensington Square is as well.
