Bree--Ages ago you recommended Carhart's "Piano Shop on the Left Bank." It just surfaced at a used book sale and I'm really enjoying reading it. Perchance did you or anyone else find exactly where the shop was located?

I don't think it really existed??? But there is a wonderful old shop that has a lot of old musical instrumemts in the Marais.

Some extremely faint memory in my brain makes me think it was in the St Jacques-Port Royal area, but I have nothing to substantiate that thought.

Oh, this is funny: I somehow missed this thread when it was first posted, but I'm going to Paris next week, and I thought I'd try to look up the shop, so I just did a Google search to see if I could find the address, and what did I find? A question addressed to me (and others), asking if I knew the address! Talk about going in circles ... (and sorry I couldn't help, amelia).
