Breakfast in Paris
We are staying at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Do you know of any great places to have breakfast nearby and/or any wonderful boulangeries in the area?
Thank you Harold |
There's more to life than breakfast. The number of posts you have on the subject suggest to me that you might have a different point of view.

Was that response REALLY needed? (And who has time to "check" the posting history of everyone who posts..... :) )
To the OP. If you go over to www.flyertalk.com and look on the Hilton board they have a thread that's probably 30 plus pages long on this hotel. I know there's info in there on places to eat near the hotel. (I read the thread when trying to decide between the Hilton or my standard Marriott for my "Free" stay. Went with Marriott, but this hotel looked very nice) |

No, of course not but that is Padraig for you! To the OP, there are boulageries and cafes everywhere. You wont go hungry in Paris. |
What I usually do when trying to find a restaurant, cafe or boulangerie is to use google and google maps for location. There are often reviews on the various options. Trip advisor might be of some help.

I would ask the concierge.

No response here is REALLY needed, including your response to my post. All posting here is voluntary, and most is intended to be helpful. I had a point to make. There are some ideas that are consistently advanced here, often to the extent that I get a sense that travel experience might be "Fodorised". Once in a while, it is no harm to challenge the orthodoxy that one finds here. |
Harold, I think you are going to find that the breakfast at your hotel will probably be a better bargain than wandering into say Laduree. I can't imagine it would be anything under 20euros there. (I loved the dinner I had at Laduree with a view of all that was going on outside on the sidewalk).
For a super cheap breakfast you can get a coffee(or tea) with 3 mini pastries at MacDonald's for around 2.20euros. I find that quite enough to kickstart my energies until lunchtime. |
