Breakfast for €1 in Amsterdam

Should you be staying in Amsterdam, or for that matter any sizable town in the Netherlands and don't want to pay hotel prices for breakfast the get yourself to the nearest branch of Hema for opening time. If that Hema has a restaurant then you can have breakfast for €1. Maybe not as much choice as at a hotel buffet but what a bargain! A crusty roll filled with egg and bacon, a croissant with a choice of jam, and coffee. Orange juice will set you back €0.50 . Should set anyone up for the day ahead.
Of course Hema doesn't open until 9 am, which could be a downside for some, and the breakfast is available until 10am.

Other options include Bakker Bart - breakfast for 2.50 and La Place (V&D) which offer a buffet breakfast for €3.95 for 7 items.

Ikea also offer breakfast for €1 but they are further out of the city.

I'll add some Praxis DIY centers to the mix, though that usually is a bit further out of the city too. They currently advertise €1.50 breakfasts.
