Bread knives in Paris?

Some time ago a wonderful shop was listed for purchasing small french bread knives. I believe it was near the Louve or Notre Dame. Would anyone know of such a place.

I have not heard of the shops that you are talking about. However, I remember seeing in a travel guide two or three stores that supply all types of items to Parisian restaurants. They were listed in the Access guide. You might want to try that.
Pat,
DeHillerin, 18 rue Coquilliere, sells kitchen utensils including a huge variety of knives, copperware, etc. Les Halles, appropriately, is the nearest Metro station.

Are you referring to the message re: bread knives
which resemble a French baguette? If so, you can find them in souvenir stores or in a chain called La Porcelaine Blanche, a small kitchen equipment chain, with outlets on rue de Sevres, rue de Rennes, rue de Levis, etc.
You can purchase the french bread knives that are in the french baguettes at the GAULT shop which is on Rue de Rivoli across from the Tuileries. They are cute sitting on your kitchen counter . . . looks like a small, thin loaf of bread until you pull it apart and there's the knife! Makes a great gift.

There is another Gault shop in the City but I do not know the address.
