Boutique Hotel - Paris

Can anyone recommend a 3* or 4* boutique (small, quaint, Parisian in style) hotel in Paris, please? Great neighbourhood a must. My husband and I are planning a 3 night romantic get-away to Paris in October leaving our two year old with her grandparents en route. Thanks.

What is your image of "Parisian" style..? Do you mean you just don't want it to look like an American business hotel?

You can see a lot of photos on www.parisby.com to determine what you're looking for..

The 6th (St Germain) or the 3rd/4th (Marais) arrondissements are highly favored, and have atmospheric flavor.

What is your budget per night?

Gladly: the Hôtel Madison on the Blvd. St-Germain. It's right across from the church of St-Germain-des-Prés, a great location, but the hotel is set back behind a tiny "place," so there's no noise in the rooms. The hotel is a 3* verging on a 4* in terms of comfort. Book a room in the front for the most space and fine views.

Hotel d'Aubusson at about 300 per night, Le Britannique about 200.

Hi Luv2ski,

Here's some very popular 3 to 4 star boutique hotels on the left bank.
(6th & 7th A). You might also want to check out Karen Brown's website. She always has great listings.

Hotel Montalembert --combination of classic & contemporary rooms, Relais St Jacques, Relais Christine

www.relais-saint-jacques.com

My personal favorite is the Hotel Lancaster. It's on the right bank in the 8th and although I think it's the best small hotel in Paris, it's not in a "great neighborhood". It's right off the Champs.

Enjoy your trip!

I stayed at Relais Saint Jacques last week for a couple of nights. It was great, nice 4* hotel with great staff. Room was a Prestige room with a view of the Pantheon dome. I had a summer discount which helped alot.

i've heard the d'Aubusson is lovely but there are both larger and smaller rooms, i only know that the location is very good.

If you know the web page for the hotels you all are mentioning, would you please post them. Thanks. Makes it so much easier to look them up.

There were quite a few websites mentioned above.

Bonjour

I love the Ille Saint-Louis area. A couple of hotel sites http://www.jeudepaumehotel.com and http://www.paris-hotel-lutece.com.

The website for the Daniel Hotel is http://www.hoteldanielparis.com.

Au revoir

If I can ever talk my husband into returning to Paris, I'd like to try Le Relais Saint Germain. http://www.hotel-paris-relais-saint-...m/en/index.htm

At the end of June we spent 2 nights at the Hotel du Petit Moulin in the heart of the Marais. This is the new (to me) Christian LeCroix hotel, and is as "boutique-y" as any hotel I've ever seen. It really is very nice (and dramatic!)and the staff are delightful. Our room (suite?) on the attic level was very large but think it might have been the only one that big (or so they told us when they upgraded us). Sorry, don't have web address handy.
