Boutique Hotel in Vienna

I am planning a brief stop in Austria (Vienna) on my way to Montenegro this fall and want to spend a few nights in Vienna.

Can someone recommend a quaint, nice, boutique hotel in Vienna, near the main historical sights in the city? Don't want to slum it but don't need the Ritz either. Looking for something very Austrian, very charming, sophisticated.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Hotel Sacher is very Austrian and sophisticated. I haven't been there for about 4 years, but suspect they still maintain high standards.

Have a great trip.

For quaint, you might like the Konig von Ungarn. Not the Ritz - but certainly not a slum. Has a very nice restaurant and is right in the city centre but on a quiet street.

We usually stay at the Kaiserhof and will do so in the future.

Highly recommend the Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth. It's everything you describe. Excellent breakfast served in a pretty room each morning. If you contact the hotel directly via e-mail, you can sometimes get a discount. We stayed there five nights two years ago. We also had dinner at the Konig von Ungarn, which also looked like a lovely hotel; it's slightly larger than the KE.
