So very well done Kerouac! I certainly get a lot more enjoyment from looking through your zillion pictures than walking through that painfully long boulevard. Thanks.

Back on site and what a nice start Kerouac with his wonderful strolls. Thank you. Looking forward to my return trip in June after a 4 yr absence. As usual staying in 11th but much wandering throughout the city.

Of course, I hope that you all know that most of the side streets are more interesting than Boulevard Saint Germain itself.

Thanks, kerouac. My appetite has been whetted. Have you plans for another photo-essay in the 6ème?

Maine and CarolA...yes, it's a bar. And I grew up in Memphis... It's a small world!

One particular side street is particularly interesting. Across from the statue of Danton and next to the "Tennessee" cafe is a passageway/street- Cour du Commere St. Andre. It is a remnant of Paris from the 1700s with large uneven cobblestones and was the home of many of the revolutionary figures living in Paris. It is also the location of Le Procope tavern a watering hole frequented by among others Benjamin Franklin and Napolean.

Thanks for your always interesting travels through Paris which you bring to this forum.

It would be nice to have a list of Kerouac's many photo shoots all in one place - does such a list exist?

Again thanks for the great camera skills and shoots.

It did indeed feel like a stroll down the Blvd; thanks for the lovely pictures.

Thanks so much again, Kerouac, for another great tour. I hope someday you'll do my favorite arr.--the 14th. I'll be back there in September for a month and would love to see it through your camera's eyes.

Regarding the 14th, I have been thinking about doing rue Raymond Losserand, which I consider to be the quintessential street of the 14th.

Thanks for the stroll. Enveloping me in the streets of Paris. What could be more pleasant, even if it is the BSG
