That sounds great but why so far in advance? how about a cambridge get together sooner?

Nikki Mar 12th, 2006 02:50 PM

It is possible that I'm interested, but it's a little far ahead for me to plan.

rhkkmk Mar 14th, 2006 10:03 AM

lots of people had been asking about scheduling it and getting the room at the hotel requires lots of advanced planning and we again plan on people coming from as far away as CA, so they have to plan ahead....that's why so early....

an earlier one may be held in CT in may if you would like to join us there...

cigalechanta Mar 14th, 2006 10:05 AM

I hope better seating can be arranged we don't get to meet everyone. Tobad we can't have that roof top, It's got a great view.

Gpanda Mar 18th, 2006 07:40 AM

C-chanta-last time I switched tables half way through lunch. This provided an opportunity to meet new people.

rhkkmk Mar 24th, 2006 09:50 AM

mimi...this is the idea about meeting earlier too so people can move around without sitting down and really get to talk with everyone....

simpsonc510 Mar 25th, 2006 04:21 AM

I'm one of the ones coming from "far" away (Illinois) so I really appreciate the advance planning. I've already secured my room at the MIT hotel. I can now watch the price of flights and grab a good fare when I see it!

Re: Seating. I agree, we need to mix and mingle more this time!! Andy's idea of moving to another table half way through last time was a good one. Maybe we all need a "musical chairs" sort of thing, with moves every 45 minutes... ha ha... just kidding!

Actually, meeting at mid-morning will hopefully allow more time to mix and mingle!! C-chanta, I hope we get to talk this time. Also, guenmai from LAX.

I post much more frequently on the Asia board, but I do travel to Europe twice a year so I like to talk to other fodorites so we can share our thoughts about Germany, Switzerland and Italy. I hope to meet more of the Europe fodorites in BOS in Oct.

Well, Indy, as you know I'm just a bit east of where you are, and we're expecting fair skies. See you on Sidney Street..oh, and you get to buy me a drink, I think!

Oh BC. I owe you at least 2 due to your gracious foresight. It's the least I can do. :-)

Okay, twist my arm, I will gladly drink away! ;)

Safe travels, see you soon,
