Bosch Parade
Has anyone here ever attended, and can recommend this?
http://mentalfloss.com/article/80412...mus-bosch-life We are thinking of heading there from Amsterdam before going to Paris for Music Day next year. I've been wondering if this even is worth the side trip from Amsterdam for a day or two. |
Anyone?

Wouldn't think so. Not worth the detour to Den Bosch.
|
Haven't been there. Den Bosch is a nice town. If you've been to Amsterdam often, and are looking for another town to visit, Den Bosch is pleasant enough.
|
We spent two days in Den Bosch in April to see the Hieronymous Bosch exhibit. We loved the town.

If it was this year you were thinking of going I would say go, because of other things going on in the city, connected to Bosch, but for next year I don't know. I don't think I would go just for that, though Den Bosch is a good place to visit, and you could easily spend a couple of days there, even without the special exhibition.
I guess it depends somewhat on what else you have seen in the Netherlands. |
Most of us have been to Amsterdam multiple times. Our main activity on next year's June trip is to go on a river cruise. The tour starts with two days in Paris, that will just coincide with Music Day, which my husband just loves. We then head down to Dijon and Beune, then get on a boat all the way down to Arles.
I saw a video of the Bosch Parade. We can't make this year's centennial celebration, but the activity looked interesting enough to perhaps start off there before heading to Paris. If the event is not worth it, we would skip the Netherlands altogether and start our trip in Paris. |
Good idea
