Borghese Gallery is closed May 15 through 18
 

I just discovered the gallery is closed for these four days, probably in preparation for that Raphael exhibition.

Thanks, I was getting ready to make res for the 18th or 19th. Where do you see this information? Also, how did you find out about the Rapael exhibition? On this site? http://www.galleriaborghese.it/default-en.htm

I learned about the four-day hiatus when I tried to make a Borghese reservation for May 16, and they e-mailed a reply to say I couldn’t. The website announces the “Raphael from Florence to Rome” exhibition beginning May 19. It costs an additional 4 euros per person.

Ok. Thanks. So did you go ahead and make reservations and/or are they offering a "special" guided tour for this? We were just going to use the audio guide, but I'm curious...

I’m leaving Rome the day before the Raphael opens at the Borghese. I already have a confirmed rez for May 4, and I’ve put in another rez request for May 12. They only let you stay for two hours each visit, and I know I’ll want to go again. I know, because I was there eight years ago.
