Bordeaux chateaux - need a guide?

Jump to last reply

I'll be traveling to Bordeaux with three friends in July, and we want to go to at least 2 wine chateaux on either a Saturday or Sunday. I've read that many chateaux are not open on weekends, and I don't have the time to call many of them to enquire about weekend hours.

Should we go with a guide or try to book tours/tastings in advance on our own? I wouldn't even know where to begin with contacting chatauex on my own. All I know is that I'd like to go to Saint Emillion or Sauternes. Thanks!
