Books/Novels about Medina Azahara

On our recent trip through Spain I was enthralled with our visit to Medina Azahara and would like to learn more but am having a hard time finding any books about it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can read Spanish so language is not a problem. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places?

Thank you!

Put Medina Azahara in the search box of
www.casadellibro.com and you'll see a couple of titles. I order from Casa del Libro frequently.

Ahhh, thank you Maribel! I didn't know about that site. Really appreciate it!

BTW, your recommendation of Hotel Candido was spot on! Loved the place! I really am going to try to knock out a trip report soon.

Thank you Jose! I will try that too! I am excited to learn more. I found the place fascinating and would love to know more about what it was like.

NanBug, I think it would have been so much more interesting had I a better understanding of the history before going but it really is a lovely spot. We went in February and arrived at approx. 11 am on a Tuesday and the parking was already crammed full. I imagine it can get overwhelming in the summer months so arrive early!

Hi, Als ~
Thanks! I will definitely read up on the place.

It looks like we'll be traveling in February, too, probably on one of the buses from the town center. We're spending 2 full days in Cordoba, I don't see how anyone can do it all on a daytrip, like many suggest. Too much to see/do!
