Bookmarking????

Bookmarking is simply commenting, usually by typing "bookmarking", on a thread you wish to keep track of. By doing this, the thread is forever linked with your screen name.

To find it in the future, you simply click on your screen name and search through the list of posts to find the one you want.

For example, there are lots of great threads about the perfect paris apartment. If you find a post such as this that you want to 'save', you simply click 'reply', type "bookmarking", and post the reply. You don't have to use that particular word, some people simply type "saving for later" or "thanks for the info", etc.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

Or alternatively use the RIGHT mouse button on the thread you are interested in and select "bookmark this link" or "add to favorites" so that you DON'T bring the thread back to the top

Or copy the information to a Word file and save it on your hard drive for future reference. If you post a lot and bookmark a lot it's going to be tough finding the one thread you're looking for among hundreds that you've posted to. I also find it annoying to see so many bookmarking entries in threads instead of information.

How about this?

Email the thread to yourself and then save the amil in whatever email file suits you... Use the function at the top of the thread called "share with a friend".

"amil" means "email".
