Booking the Orient Express

Is there any company or travel agent that specializes in booking flight/train packages or do you have to book them separately.

Also, for anyone who has been on the London to Venice train . . . is it worth it? Thanks in advance for any comments.

devanson-

Any good travel agent in your local town can book the Orient Express for you.

A good friend of mine did Venice to Paris and loved it...It is VERY formal for dinner on the train.
She said it was a once in a lifetime experience...

I'd expect you could book the Orient Express on line. They may even offer air/train packages.

Don't even get me started on this one! We took the VSOE from Venice to London and thought it was one of the best travel experiences we've had. Terribly romantic, excellent food and service, and having drinks in the lounge listening to the gentleman on the grand piano was quite the experience. Accommodations were gorgeous in the restored pullmans complete with inlaid wood in intricate patterns.

I mean, can it get any better having an elegant dinner served by excellent staff under antique Lalique lamps with good wine while the Alps drift by the window?

[BTW - I got along just fine in a dark suit]

Trip of a lifetime IMO. And definitely worth every penny.

And yes, you can book direct. Don't need a TA.
