booking flights from U.S. thru Amsterdam-2nd airport?
Greetings. I am looking at a flight from the U.S. that stops in Amsterdam going and coming from Spain and I noticed a message on Orbitz saying "this flight departs from a different airport" on our return flight only. we have a 1 hour 45 min. layover on the return trip. First question: is there another airport in Amsterdam? Second: if there is another airport, does 1 hour and 45 minutes give us enough time to get to this supposedly different airport?
Please advise! thanks much! |
My guess is the >>this flight departs from a different airport<< bit relates to your departure point in Spain, not anything to do w/ Amsterdam. But if you post the flight numbers we can tell for sure.

okay. flights leaving:
MSP to AMS - #6064 AMS to BCN - #1673 return flights: MAD to AMS - #1700 AMS to MSP - #6065 thanks! |
OK - the arrival flight lands in Barcelona -- and the departure is from Madrid -- thus it leaves from a different airport . . . .
"AMS" is the same on both routes -- it is the BCN/MAD that is different. |
It's telling you that you're arriving in Spain at Barcelona, and you're departing from a different airport - Madrid.

aha! okay, thanks much!
