Booking flight Stockholm-Oslo for June
I am searching flights from Stockholm to Oslo (ARN-OSL) for June. As we are locked into traveling on a Sunday, I am finding train travel options either non-existent, extremely early morning or late night, usually utilizing buses only, connecting with longish layovers in Götheborg, making multiple transfers, and/or otherwise taking unbearably long hours.
Starting off with Google, I see flight options on Scandinavian, Norwegian, and Ethiopian Airlines. Any of these three to avoid? Any far superior and worth a few dollars more? |
dknudsen--I rechecked your train search on several sites, and yep, I'm seeing the same thing you do. We, too, were surprised we ended up flying between Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo and Stockholm last June given the excellent train connections between all three countries. None of the train options really worked with our limited time.
We did SAS for all. Our flights reminded me of EasyJet/Ryan Air, but one has to remember these are basically short commuter connections anyway. We had no complaints. I do recommend you buy FastTrack options. Good luck, AZ |
Went with Norwegian Airlines for the price and more convenient times. Upped to the Flex tickets which include priority boarding (meh), free carry ons, seat reservation (row 2), and Fast Track. Saw a few questionable reviews but I figure we can stand whatever level of quality on a 1 hour flight.

Happy you found the right price--and I'm also happy you chose the same options we did, including the Flex Fare. I honestly thought I would be cancelling most of our flights once the between-city rail fares/routes loaded for June, but when, like you, my expected rail times did not work out, I ended up tweaking our flight times instead!
