Booking ahead ferry Dover - Calais?
Is it important to book ahead when crossing by hovercraft from Dover to Calais? We'll be going the evening of July 8 and would rather not book to keep flexibility in case something unexpected comes up. But we'd rather book ahead than spend hours in line.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Peter

I may be wrong, but I thought all the hovercraft had been withdrawn. HoverSpeed run Seacats (affectionately known as the Seasick), which are high speed Catamarans). I would buy tickets in advance during the summer months, although you may be okay on a Monday evening.

If you are planning to cross the channel a few times - I recommend www.travel-market.co.uk

I have the same question as above. However, I need to know HOW to make reservations. Can you give me some help?
Aaron Johnson
