Has anyone booked with this web site? Did you have any problems.
Thanks

I used this site a couple of years ago. No problems.

Just used this site for a hotel in Germany with no problems. The actual website for the hotel showed that it was totally booked and GTA got me a reservation. I would recommend it. I liked paying in USD instead of Euros on my credit card.

I think it's basically fine to use that site but don't they ask for pre-payment usually ? That's not what I like and have not used the site even if I saw interesting rates a couple of times. There are sites like venere.com where payment is usually done direct at the hotel at check-out (always so so far in my case). I also like venere's cancellation policy, often no charge untill 48hrs or so before arrival.

.... so read their payment/cancellation policies and if you agree with them, it's fine to use them. Whenever I book thru such sites (incl. venere), I always call up the hotel myself (leave a few days after booking) and check the booking, conditions and prices and make special requests if any such as room preference, etc. If GTA requires pre-payment, you won't need to mention the price to the hotel though. GTA pays a different price (less) from what you pay to GTA.

Yes, I have successfully used them twice - Istanbul and Paris. No problems whatsoever. In fact they were able to get me a good hotel at a good rate during a busy time (soccer finals) in Istanbul.
As to prepayment, it is sometimes required, usually if you are getting an especially good rate. It is a pretty standard practice and I would not worry about it; if you have any doubts, contact the hotel directly prior to your arrival.
