Booked flights. Now....
 

We have booked flights into Porto and home from Lisbon for a total of 10 nights on the ground in early June. We want to spend 2 nights in Caiscas before returning home on a 10:30 am flight. The hotel concierge says 45 minute ride to airport but I figure an hour. so we will leave around 7. We are considering driving from Porto to Lisbon so we can stop along the way (where?) . What day trips. other than Sintra (which is a must), does anyone recommend? Luis Alves has been recommended to us as a guide in Lisbon.
I get my best suggestions from people on these forums so I hope to hear from you with tips suggestions, recommendations, etc.. Thanks in advance. I know this post seems "all over the place." Still trying to organize trip in my head!

Evora is a nice overnight day trip from Lisbon and if driving Porto to Lisbon Coimbra and Obidos are two places to check out. Lots of neat day trips from Porto - Braga and Guimares both really neat. Hit Batalha Monastery coming out of Porto going south - UNESCO World Heritage Site.
