My favorite is The Companion Guide to Paris, by Anthony Glyn <BR><BR>http://www.boydell.co.uk/823.HTM<BR><BR>But I also like Pariswalks, by Alison & Sonia Landes, and Walking Paris: Thirty Original Walks in and Around Paris, by Gilles Desmons.

Paris in a Basket, a book about all the markets of Paris. Beautiful pictures and great info.

I like the Eyewitness Guide and the Knopf Guide, but by far my favorite guides are the three volume Around and About Paris guides by Thirza Vallois. They go into great detail about the history of each Arrondisement.
