Book Ahead for Secret Itineraries Tour (Doges Palace) at the end of March?

Hi Everyone,
Is it necessary for us (2) to book ahead for the Secret Itineraries Tour, leaving for Venice at the end of this week? Or, is it possible to get the tickets there? Trying to avoid the extra online booking fees. TIA!
Marissa

Hi M,

>Secret Itineraries tour of Doge’s palace Phone number is 011 39 041 520 9070. English-speaking operator.

You will not be charged for your tickets if you don't go on the tour.

If you dial 1016868 first, the call is 10 cts/min.

Hi J,

Have you called between 08:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 Venice time?

Here is the official website for bookings at the Palazzo Ducale (click Doge's Palace at bottom of page):

http://www.museiciviciveneziani.it/f...e=prenotazioni

And here is where you can book online, without calling, and it works just fine-it is showing full availability for Thursday March 29-April 1:

jtwiss-no the websites I provided are just for the regular, very interesting Doge's Palace tour, but if you look at the first website, and go down the page, you will see where you can book the separate, and equally fascinating Secret Itineraries Tour in English, here:

I found the web page and it looks like the time is available (it's in blue), but since there isn't much english I can't figure out how to book the Secret Itineraries tour. I know I'm a computer illiterate, but can anyone help. There's lots of Italian on the page. Much appreciated.

What is the difference between Itinerari Segreti Int. and Itinerari Segreti Rid.?

Rec. Rid. Pass?

Anyone have any difficulties using their credit card on this site?

It doesn't seem to be secure.
