I just came back from Europe 3 days ago and it was FREEZING in Milano, Munchen, etc. We're talking 20 degrees - not 42 and snow! All I can say is layers, layers, layers. My silk Eddie Bauer longjohns kept me somewhat warm under the 2 layers of pants I was wearing while walking around during the day. Now I know why European women cover themselves from head to toe in fur coats - it is the only way to keep warm! Bon voyage

Scarlett~Bon Voyage and a fond hello to Paris from me. You have your favorite haunts but do consider a lunch at La Mascotte in Montmarte. Such a platter of shellfish and filled with Parisians.
R5 and I will just have to keep order on the US board

Scarlett -
Do you leave a "scent rag" for Pup when you go on holiday? I usually leave IGY an old sweater that I wear - that way he has the smell of his mommy close to him while I'm away (I'm usually with him 24/7). Enjoy your holiday, and a pet on the head for Pup from me. Peace. >-

Dear Scarlett,
Do not worry too much about the weather, because I am sure the Yankee and the hot chocolate from Laduree or Angelina will warm you up in short order!
Have a lovely time with your husband and son, and I am certain Pup will forgive you when you return.
Au revoir,
BC

Good Lord! Does this mean you are leaving Portland advice to OTHERS?
By the time you have returned, who knows how many ill-advised decisions will have been made...
Enjoy, enjoy, but look for an internet cafe and tune in to the U.S. forum from time to time. We need you over there, as well!
Happy travels,
Jim

Scarlett, Paris will be so much nicer than the trip you to to Hell and back in September. I'm sure you will re-read all those tips in case some will be helpful to you while in Paris.
Have a wonderful trip!
