Have a blast!

taggie Jan 6th, 2005 04:21 PM

Hope you both have a wonderful trip!

marcy_ Jan 6th, 2005 05:16 PM

Thanks, all! We'll let you know how it goes.

Scarlett, unfortunately when I looked at the latest forecast today, it was for rain every single day that we're there. :( I hope they're wrong...but what the heck... we'll either be shopping or in museums or cafés, so who cares!

Marcy, Let your smile be your umbrella. You'll have fun no matter the weather.

dln Jan 6th, 2005 05:22 PM

Scarlett, elaine, david, and taggie you are dears for wishing us a bon voyaage! Especially when I just got off the phone with my mother in Florida, full of gloom and doom about the weather forecasts she saw on TV. Evidently they're cancelling flights left and right in Chicago, where we connect.

I checked now and so far so good but thanks to Mama I shall be worrying all night! So I am very appreciative of your good wishes and bon voyages. Please send good weather vibes our way!

(MARCY -- American changed our flight and we don't leave 'til past 4 pm now. Did you get an email from them about it? I didn't!)

My best wishes to both of you for a relaxing flight (and not to complicated) and a beautiful visit in Paris.

May you not have airline problems, heavy rain and cold weather.

But somehow imagine you two will have fun no matter what. Just enjoy every mmoment. My best to you both. ((*))

dln, keep checking on your flight time.
The snow has finally stopped that was followed by rain, looks slushy out there.
I can see you eating an Herme's macaroon.

One thing you can be sure of, is that the weather will change, sometimes a couple of times during the day.

Every night with turn down service we received a weather forecast (as well as a goody :) ) on our pillows. Every forecast showed a big rain cloud for the following day. Every day but two it was sunny! Paris is tres romantic in the rain anyway, and if it does rain it is usually gentle...at least that's been our experience these past two winters.

Au revoir mes amis! We'll be thinking of you!

dln and Marcy: If you feel a little more crowded than usual in your plane seats, if peering into a shop window you feel someone smiling behind you, if a beam of sunlight suddenly flashes from a break in the rainclouds, setting all the wet grey surfaces of Paris to glistening, know that it's us here at home, thinking of you and wishing you both the best of times!

Aside from giving Deirdre nightmares about flight cancellations at O'Hare, I knew she was packed and ready to go as Chico's stock went up and then split.

You were born under a lucky star so I know it will be a marvelous trip.
