BON VOYAGE, DAVID (indytravel)

David leaves tomorrow, wish I were going back to the Excelsior too.
Anyone else we can wish Bon Voyage no matter where you are off to.

bookchick Mar 9th, 2005 08:53 AM

I know Nikki's leaving for Greece soon, isn't she?

David, hope you are warmly welcomed by the French, who should, by this time, view you as their very own adopted son! Happy and safe travels!

Have a wonderful trip, Indy! Looking forward to hearing all about it when you return. :)

Leely Mar 9th, 2005 09:12 AM

If Indy is the poster I'm thinking of, I can now look forward to a great report full mouthwatering descriptions of his every meal. And detailed observations about wastebaskets.

Please eat something chocolatey every day for me.

Have a great trip!

Stay Warm, Bon Voyage! (sigh...)

SharonG Mar 9th, 2005 11:03 AM

Have fun David. I'll see you in Paris on the 19th.

cigalechanta Mar 9th, 2005 01:26 PM

David, instead of emailing you, I'm posting here in case of someone else that will visit Nancy.
There's a year long festival called, Le Temps des Lumierescelebrating the restoration of its neoclassical central square, Place Stanislas

Thanks Mimi!

And bookchick, Statia, Leely, SuzieC, SharonG & Woody. I really appreciate the thoughtful words.

I'm looking forward to meeting in Paris. ((d))

Now if I had just not been so excited that I decided to wash my wallet with my last load of laundry! #-o

You'd think after this many times I wouldn't get this excited, but I still do. :-)

Statia Mar 9th, 2005 02:30 PM

Well, look on the bright side, Indy. At least you washed your wallet and not your passport!

Have fun!

Marianna Mar 9th, 2005 03:19 PM

Have a fabulous trip, David! I'm sure you will be packing light and have taken notes from that other thread on how to do your laundry while away. Let us know all about it when you return - the trip, not the laundry.

AGM_Cape_Cod Mar 9th, 2005 05:00 PM

David, have a great trip. Drink some champagne for me in Reims. Also if you haven't planned all your meals you should consider a meal at Les Crayeres- have the hot smoked salmon first course-yum! Too bad you will have left Paris by the time we get there on the 23rd of March.

Croque_Madame Mar 9th, 2005 05:52 PM

So you're off again, huh? You sure know how to live!

Pack "warm" for Paris, looks like it's gonna be chilly there. May your journey present you with plenty to pique your curiosity and satisfy your spirit.

Hope this trip is one of the best for you, Mr. Travelin' Man! Tell us all about it when you come home.

kybourbon Mar 9th, 2005 06:01 PM

DaVide! Don't eat too much foie gras. Take pictures of the Paris GTG for us.

flygirl Mar 9th, 2005 06:04 PM

have a great time!

Woody Mar 10th, 2005 11:03 AM

Here's another vote for dining at Boyer les Crayeres in Reims. When we were there, the food was exquisite and the service impeccable.

Hey I finally made it :-) after a missed connection and 5 hour layover in Frankfurt on Friday. :-( Though the people watching was pretty excellent and educating.

Like the lady that didn't have her husband's cell phone number. Or his work number in Stuttgart. She wasn't sure of the German company's name either. Or know what hotel he was staying at. Except the hotel was "charming" and "very near the airport." She wanted the ticket counter people to get in touch with her husband for her. My, my, my I backed slowly away from that one...

The weather cleared Saturday at lunch for a glorious day and a half in Reims. Made it to Nancy this morning.

I'm trying to take good notes so I can write my report later.
