Thanks, basingstoke2. :)
I had my gelato in Via Montegrappa - such a neighbourhood feel to that gelateria. Bologna is a wonderful place! Dina4, Corte Isolani is a kind of passage (as in Parisian passages - you can't really call it a mall, it's too small) that is located between Strada Maggiore (where you enter via the original medieval façade) and the Piazza Santo Stefano, from which you can access it as well. There are beautiful shops in it and a few restaurants and cafes. I guess you could have lunch/dinner or a drink in one of these places - should be nice. and it's Gianni, not Giani - I knew I had that wrong the first time around! http://www.gelateriagianni.com/index.html?id=41 The one next to the due torri is the gelateria in Via San Vitale, 2. |
When you are at the due torri, Gianni is right there. It calls to you, you can't miss it.
A nice route is to walk from the doe torri to the university area - you will pass a very interesting old church on the way with some beautiful artwork inside - sorry, I can't remember the name - and then work your way back wandering though the old Jewish ghetto area. |
Thanks so much!
We'll definitely check out the passage. Sounds charming. Can't wait to taste that gelato! |
