Bologna airport question

Hi all, on the last day of our Italy trip, our flight leaves from Bologna airport(BLQ). We are based in Florence (the reason we fly out of Bologna is because its so much cheaper). We are thinking of taking the train to Bologna and walk around the town before the flight, which is at 4:00 PM. My question: is there a shuttle that takes you to the airport from the train station or from some other area to the airport? Also is the shuttle free or paid? Thanks all.

Hotels with Airport Shuttle. Hotels with an airport shuttle fitness center and free parking. Bologna Marconi Airport . More hotels near BLQ.www.booking.com/airport/it/BLQ.en.html
StarHotels downtown for me last 69euro per nite great room walked from trainstaion a coupleof blocks they had a free shuttle. Not much to do out by BLQ but MyOne is ok for a nite for price if budget.

No shuttle as far as I know, but Bologna airport is not far from town and taxis are reasonable. A few hours in Bologna and a good lunch would be an agreeable way to end a trip.

Are there buses in Bologna that can take you to the airport if there are no shuttles?

There is a bus. Here is the link to public transport at the official airport site.

qwovadis - they arent looking for a hotel, just the shuttle...not sure why you are recommending hotels?????

Our hotel in Bologna advised us a taxi would cost about €15. Or you can take the bus listed in the airport link above.
