Boat from Turkey to Italy or Croatia
 

Interested in whether it is possible to take a boat from Turkey to Italy or Croatia. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

Hmm, I do not think there is such a boat, but we did go from Turkey to Italy to Croatia. We are very slooooooow travelers though, and do not worry about time.

You take a ferry from Turkey to Greece ( many ways to do this as several places in Turkey are just an hours boat ride away from a Greek Island like Samos or Rhodes).

Then you get a ferry to Patras, Greece. ( Again there are other places on the mainland that you can do this from, but this is the one I know best about as this is how we did it).

There is an overnight ferry from Patras Greece to Bari Italy.

Then there is an overnight ferry from Bari Italy to Dubrovnik, Croatia.

There are NO ferries from Greece directly to Croatia ( which is dumb in my opinion, but that is the way it is).

You can also take a Ferry from Patras to Venice ( we took one in the opposite direction on our way to Greece and Turkey) and from there get ferries to Croatia.

If you like slow travel, overnight ferries are a fun way to go and feels like a different age. They are quite cheap if you do not have a cabin or vehicle ( we had both but even with that found it much cheaper than driving).

Actually, it looks like there are ferries between Turkey and Italy during high season. It was not part of our plan, so I had never looked but your question made me curious.

This year, Cesme-Ancona runs from 3 May to 22 October, and Cesme-Brindisi from 30 June to 9 September. Fares depend on the type of cabin and include breakfast.
From Italy to Croatia, try

There are ferries between Brindisi - Cesme & Ancona - Cesme but I recall they are really intended for truckers and so don't provide many facilities - it's also a 40 hour trip so it won't be much fun

Marmara Lines' ship is not a freight ferry: the ship previously operated across the North sea for DFDS, and has various bars, lounges and restaurants.

We actually found most of the large ferries also have those things and often pools and hot tubs.
