BMW factory and museum tours
Some people online claim you can walk into the BMW facilities without advance reservations (in June) and others say you should reserve online 2 months in advance. Would appreciate "inside info" from anyone who has done the tours and can talk a bit about the value, time required, whether you can reserve tour in English, etc. Thanks a million!

There are three major BMW sites in Munich (all in the same area):
BMW Welt (World) - more or less just a big showcase building with lots of current model cars and motorcycles. No entrance fee, no reservations, no lines. BMW Museum - guided tours are optional, you can visit on your own as well. I don't think you really need a guided tour. BMW Factory / Plant - access with guided tours ONLY. Advance reservations strongly recommended. You need to book via e-mail or phone. https://www.bmw-welt.com/en/experien...ded_tours.html |
Thanks, Cowboy! That helps a lot.

We did BMW WELT and BMW Factory tour. We reserved the factory tour in English. I thought that was super interesting and loved it. The WELT was great, minis, motorcycles, new cars, old cars. Give yourself half a day.
