BMI Seat Selection?

I have paid a low price for a flight from LHR to AMMan on BMI. I received e-mail telling me to call for seats. I did and the seats were 15 pounds sterling. I have the tickets, do I need to shell out that money for seats, or will there be something to choose at check-in?

If you have a ticket, you will have a seat so no, you do not "have to" pay it. You pay if you want to be able to pick a seat ahead of time. It's one of the fare differences and why you got a cheap ticket, the more expensive tickets get to book a seat without paying extra. If you don't care where you sit, don't pay.

I haven't flown as far as Amman on bmi but I've flown with them a lot. With all the economy flights I've taken with them, I could check in online 24 hours beforehand and choose seats then.

Being in the health care business, I thought your title referred to a new policy regarding airline seating for obese individuals (Body Mass Index-commonly accepted as a measure for weight/height monitoring)!!!
