Blankets on Air Iberia
Many of the US planes no longer provide a blanket even on long flights.. Has anyone flown Iberia Air this year? I am wondering if I need to bring a pashmina or blanket along but don't want to bother if they still provide them, reasonably clean ones that is.

A pashmina will come in handy on your trip in case air conditioning or a windy terrace gets you chilly.

True but trying to see if its something I can cut off my packing list.

We flew from Chicago to Madrid on Iberia in mid-May; they provide blankets+pillows. They were fine.

I would never travel anywhere without my black pashmina....(as a matter of fact there is one in our car at all times).

Thanks all. Now I have to decide on my own. I have a bright orange silk one- very fine, a gift from India that you can see from a mile away and a basic crummy black wool one. Hum So many decisions. Good thing all my plans are made so I can dither on about pashminas. The street vendors here i NYC seem to have put them all away for the season so I can't even contemplate buying a third-maybe in a more compatable color.

When you getting close to your seat, the first thing to do w/Iberia is to snag a pillow & blanket! The crew at times is not very gracious/helful especially on international flights! I have never understood why they are so pleasant/gracious on flights within Spain-just an observation!

If I worked those transatlantic flights I would not be so nice myself. Thanks for the tip.

Flew Iberia Madrid to Chicago yesterday. At boarding, every single seat had a pillow and blanket in a plastic bag.

Hope it was a good trip! Thanks

I fly with my pashmina--always. It's the most versatile item I pack. Dresses up jeans, takes off the evening chill, keeps me cozy on the plane. I once dropped it going to my seat on the plane and the attendant who followed me and returned it said "three or four of us wanted to just keep it." LOL
