I knew about this. I tried to get MacSween's to airmail a haggis to Elvira. that's why she ended up eating the veggy version in Paris, hand delivered by a Scottish peeress!

Bah Humbug!

Haggis smuggling is small beer compared to the huge amount of black pudding smuggling going on all year round.
Most Scots rarely eat haggis (except on Burns night)(25Jan) but black pudding (cows blood sausage)is a standard part of the cardiac arrest breakfast.
I know an old lady who secretes kilos of the stuff about her every time she flies to see her relations in the US.She has no fear of the black pudding police.
(the stuff does that to you)

No doubt the US will be forced to bomb Scotland to end this evil trade.
Just say no.

Frank, funny stuff! Is haggis similar to our family's Lithuanian duck's blood soup? Yum, my favorite. Seriously. thanks for helping me stay on my diet this morning! What a way to start the day, with haggis on my mind!

Just like the sniffer beagles at Miami International that look for illegal produce (so to speak), I suspect Skye terriers will be trained to sniff out the illicit haggis at all U.S. airports...then we'll have to appoint a Haggis Czar, Democrats and Republicans will fight over the best approach to stopping the flood of illegal haggis "we need education and jobs" "we need to make them EAT it", there'll be haggis lords (wait, don't you guys have them already?), building huuuge mansions in South Florida - or, Seattle, where it would feel more like home...oh, this could get ugly.
